This musical initiation course is designed to offer children a playful introduction to the basics of music. It combines learning rhythm and movement, with a particular emphasis on the use of Orff percussion instruments. This pedagogical tool enhances children’s auditory awareness while exploring different pitch ranges and encouraging improvisation.
\nIn addition, the course introduces children to musical notes through games and interaction with their peers. Playing together with Orff instruments creates a space for play and discovery. Children also explore the various instruments of the symphony orchestra.<\/p>\n
Two performances per year<\/b><\/p>\n
Finally, children take part in two performances per year, presented as musical tales or sound-enhanced stories. This approach ensures a solid musical foundation while keeping the experience engaging and interactive.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This course is specially designed for young children, offering a fun and interactive immersion into the world of music. Divided into two 30-minute segments, the class combines fundamental music training with instrumental discovery.<\/p>\n

First half: musical initiation<\/strong><\/p>\nIn the first part, students follow a personalized program that strengthens their rhythmic and vocal skills, while introducing the basics of music theory using various educational tools.<\/p>\n

The second part focuses on hands-on practice with various instruments in a semi-private setting, limited to two or three students per group. Children begin with the guitar and recorder, then progress to the cello and piano, allowing for thorough exploration of each instrument.<\/p>\n

Yana Parra, born in 1988 in Caracas, began her musical training in Venezuela with “El Sistema” before continuing her studies in Munich at the Richard Strauss Conservatory at the age of 16. In 2011, she earned a diploma in cello pedagogy from the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Theater M\u00fcnchen. Yana also completed a Bachelor of Arts at the Haute \u00e9cole de musique de Gen\u00e8ve, followed by a Master\u2019s in musical performance at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik Basel.<\/p>\n
