Learning Violin Technique through Movement (Paul Rolland School)
Learn and perfect violin technique using methods from the Paul Rolland School, emphasizing movement and correct posture.

Knowing a Diverse Repertoire in Styles and Eras (Classical and Modern)
Discover and perform a wide range of repertoires, covering different styles and periods, from classical to modern.

Discovering a Wealth of Music (Listening Suggestions and Concerts to Attend)
Broaden your musical horizons by exploring various musical suggestions and attending concerts to better appreciate musical diversity.

Enjoying Making Music
Develop a love and enjoyment for music by creating a positive and motivating learning environment.

Knowing How to Structure Personal Study and Organization
Learn to organize and structure your personal practice time effectively to maximize progress.

Participating in Solo or Group Auditions
Participate in auditions and performances, both solo and in groups, to build confidence and stage experience.

Learning Music Theory and Solfège through the Instrument

About the teacher

Born in Pozoblanco, Ramon Truan de Pineda began playing the violin at the age of 8 in Andalusia. Passionate about analyzing violinists’ styles and techniques, he has won numerous awards in violin and chamber music competitions, including being named the best violin student of his generation in Andalusia.

He studied at the Haute École de Musique de Genève under Stefan Muhmenthaler and attended masterclasses with internationally renowned violinists. Ramon has collaborated with prestigious orchestras such as the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and the Bern Symphony Orchestra, solidifying his reputation as a talented violinist.

Active in Switzerland, Ramon regularly performs in recitals and duos with pianist Alice Gibert. As a teacher at the Centre Musical de Cornavin and the École de Pratique Instrumentale et Scénique de Bercher, he is recognized for his dynamic teaching approach and his commitment to continuous learning to provide high-quality education. Ramon joins our team with the intention of sharing his passion for the violin and contributing to the musical development of his students.

Registration fees

The registration fee is CHF 50.- per year and per family.

Family Discount

A 15% discount for the second child and 20% discount for the third child is granted when multiple members of the same family are enrolled at CORNAVIN MUSIC CENTER

Trial Lesson

The CORNAVIN MUSIC CENTER offers the possibility of taking a trial lesson with no obligation. This lesson is also an opportunity for the teacher to assess the student’s piano and musical skills in order to propose a suitable study plan. The trial lesson lasts 45 minutes (30 minutes for children).
