Ramón Truan de Pineda

Born in Pozoblanco, Ramón Truan de Pineda began his violin studies at the age of 8 in Andalusia. From an early age, he developed a passion for analyzing the styles and techniques of various violinists, which fueled his enthusiasm for pedagogy and knowledge transmission. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated remarkable instrumental and artistic mastery, winning numerous awards in violin and chamber music competitions. Among his distinctions, he received the award for the best violin student of his generation in Andalusia.

His higher education took place at the Geneva University of Music, under the renowned Stefan Muhmenthaler, a former student of the legendary Itzhak Perlman. He also had the opportunity to attend masterclasses with many internationally acclaimed violinists, further enriching his technique and musical expressiveness.

Ramón has regularly collaborated with prestigious orchestras such as the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Geneva Chamber Orchestra, the Bern Symphony Orchestra, and the Fribourg Chamber Orchestra. These experiences have solidified his reputation as a versatile and talented violinist.

In French-speaking Switzerland, Ramón is an active figure in the cultural scene, performing regularly at various events and recitals. Beyond Switzerland and Spain, he has given chamber music recitals in France and Germany, performing in a duo with pianist Alice Gibert for the past four years. Their successful collaboration has been praised for its synchronization, musicality, and interpretative quality.

On the pedagogical front, Ramón has taught violin at the Neuchâtel Conservatory of Music and served as an assistant professor for the symphony orchestra. He is currently a violin teacher at the Centre Musical de Cornavin and the École de Pratique Instrumentale et Scénique de Bercher. He is known for his positive and dynamic teaching approach, motivating students of all ages and levels. Ramón continues his professional development to ensure a high-quality education for his students.
