Roberta Michela

Roberta Michela developed a passion for the piano from an early age. She completed her studies at the Cantonal Conservatory of Sion with honors under the guidance of Barbara Borse and Mateo Creux. She then obtained her Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s degree in instrumental pedagogy at the Geneva University of Music in the class of Sylviane Deferne. She is currently furthering her studies in a Master’s program in performance under Louis Schwizgebel.

A laureate of numerous competitions such as the Swiss Youth Music Competition and the Riviera Competition, she was awarded the Excellence Scholarship from the Wilsdorf Foundation in 2022 and has benefited from the guidance of renowned professors such as Christian Favre, Edith Fischer, François Frédéric Guye, Pascal Godart, and Brigitte Bouthinon-Dumas.

She has performed on Swiss Romande stages as a soloist, in four-hand duos, and in trios. Passionate about singing, which she has also practiced since childhood, she regularly collaborates with vocal ensembles and enjoys exploring the Lied repertoire, which she particularly cherishes.

Driven by the desire to share her knowledge, Roberta has been teaching piano since the age of 18 to students of all ages. She has worked as a substitute teacher at the Cantonal Conservatory of Sion, the Geneva Conservatory of Music, and the Montessori Aquilae School in Geneva. Her teaching approach focuses on developing listening skills and musical expressiveness from the very first lessons, helping students discover the instrument’s sonic possibilities, awaken their curiosity, and explore the expressive dimension of music.
